Your downloaded video file won’t play? Here’s all you need to know about error codes, codecs, streaming, and video playing issues. There could be a number of reasons why your videos aren’t playing including:
- Your video is corrupt
- The media player is outdated

Your video is corrupt.
Sometimes the video was not entirely downloaded from the source due to an unstable network. You may need to delete it and re-download it from the source website.
The media player is outdated.
It is possible that your media player does not support the video format. you are trying to play. Install a compatible video player such as VLC player
Missing Video Codec
If the needed codec is not installed on your computer. The video file will not play correctly. The media player will almost note missing codecs if you’re prompted to install the codec, select Install. or you can download and install K-Lite Codec Pack from here.
