Whenever you play a video on YouTube, the Addoncrop YouTube Video downloader shows a “Download” button under every YouTube video. You can click on it to download the video to your computer. If the download button does not appear, please review the steps below for help resolving your issue.
- You have clicked that x button to hide downlaod button
- The extension is Disabled or removed.
- The download feature is disabled in extension Settings.
- The extension is Outdated (In case of developer mode install)
- Any Third party extension is conflicting.
You have clicked that x button to hide download bar
There is a built-in option in the Addoncrop YouTube video downloader to show or hide the download bar. Most probably, you clicked that x button, and the bar was hidden.
How do you get it back?
Under the YouTube video, you can find the YouTube video downloader extension icon. Press that icon and in the menu click on the compact mode button to show the bar again.
If you still don’t see the button on a given location, simply enable it from the extension settings pages
The extension is Disabled or removed.
If the addoncrop YouTube downloader extension is disabled or removed from your browser, The functionalities it provides also will be removed.

There is an option on the extension settings page to disable download button injection on the YouTube page. Would you please check those settings? If it’s disabled, Enable it back.
The extension is Outdated (In case of developer mode install)
As youtube update their structure from time to time, we need to update our extension with their algorithm to work correctly, make sure you have the latest version of the extension,
Please note this happens if you have installed the extension in developer mode because it is impossible to auto-update the extension installed in developer mode.
Any Third party extension is conflicting.
The last possible reason is any third-party extension is conflicting with the Addoncrop Video downloader extension. To check if any extension is conflicting, Temporarily disable all extensions and enable only addoncrop YouTube video downloader.
If the download button appears and you want to check which extension conflicts with your download button, enable each browser addon one at a time along with the Addoncrop YouTube video downloader.
